The Boston Home Team consists of Christine Li-Brokhof, Will Brokhof (me) and Carrie Anne Li. We all live and work in Jamaica Plain. We all have very different backgrounds and areas of expertise which has worked out smashingly so far.

I do most all of the ‘creative writing’ so it appears this blog is going to be my baby for the forseable future. I was born in Chicago and raised in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri just a few miles from the Arkansas border. As you can imagine, that wasn’t the most culturally decadent area of the U.S. so I did a brief stint at the University of Missouri – Columbia, and then got antsy. I closed my eyes, pointed to a spot on the map, and here I am 15 years later. I have always loved architecture but never guessed as a young man that I would become a Realtor or have a career in real estate. I tend to handle the role of rain maker, new business, negotiations and especially the nuts and bolts of the business. I have a good understanding of the structual and mechanical side of real estate so I handle a lot of the home inspections, valuations, and zoning/building/renovation consultation. Enough about me…

Christine Li is not only my business partner, but also my wife. She was born in Ohio, but moved shortly after to the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn where she resided until I stole her away about 5 years ago. Christine was been immersed in photography pretty much her whole life. She went to the Highschool of Art & Design and the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. Her studies and her heart were focused on photography. After school, she started working in the stock photo industry, representing artists to various media buyers. After more than a decade in the industry, giants like Getty, Corbis and Magnum fought for her. Christine fulfilled a dream recently and had her first opening called “Ladylike“. You are more likely to find Christine at our open houses or touring with buyers. Christine and I have a beautiful daughter, Vitoria, who has just started school here in Jamaica Plain. Therefore she is very well versed with everything related to childcare, schooling and the like. 

Carrie Anne Li is the final member of our team and it is no coincidence that she shares a last name with Christine. They are in fact, sisters. Carrie Anne was born and raised in Brooklyn and attended Skidmore College in upstate New York and received a degree in Theater. She is pure genius and tends to work exclusively on our marketing, technology and administrative needs.

Some might say the best part about having a home is moving in, or maybe decorating. Some might say having a place to gather with friends and family or to raise children. Few would say, “the transaction” was their favorite part. However, buying a house can be easier.
