As a follow-up to my post of earlier today regarding my neighbor’s roofing job, a reader mentioned they could be receycled. I’m not sure why I hadn’t thought of that since I recycled all the asphalt paving that some dope had put all around my house when I bought it. Anyway, I did a quick search and here are a dew places that will recycle asphalt shingles in Massachussetts:

I haven’t done any research yet, but this seems like a super alternative to just having a dumpster dropped off and filling up landfills. Spread the word!
